What’s better than a spa treatment and bathing in natural thermal mineral waters you ask? Those things, with a side of breakfast.
If you’re visiting Melbourne, or even if you’re a local, do yourself a favour and scoot an hour out of town to the Peninsula Hot Springs, located on the Mornington Peninsula. The area provides welcome respite from the craziness of Melbourne, and the hot springs are a great place to unwind and #treatyoself.
Bathing-wise, you have the choice of the bath house or the spa dreaming centre. The former is a bit cheaper and better for families, and the latter a bit more exy but more of a tranquil experience (it’s 16+).
I’d recommend combining your bathing experience with a spa treatment. We had a 60-minute massage each and it was unreal. There are a number of packages on offer with different combos, you can check these out here.
This was followed by a visit to the in-house cafe (there are two, we visited the Spa Dreaming Centre Cafe) where we enjoyed;
Asparagus, quinoa and chickpea fritters with grilled haloumi, roasted heirloom tomatoes, free range poached egg, chipotle mayo and baby cress
House cured salmon with toasted English muffin, wilted spinach, free range poached egg and an avocado yoghurt hollandaise
