Okay, let me start by saying… this deal is bloody good value. ’tis a set menu at the very lovely, very grand Bank on Collins for two people for $69.

To start with, both you and your guest will receive a glass of Lindeman’s Brut Cuvee sparkling on arrival. (Which come in these very fancy looking The Bank on Collins branded champagne glasses #perfectforaninstysnap)

Next up, you’ll feel almost moved to tears as you see the warm bread with cultured butter arrive, a sight made all the more moving by the DELECTABLE entree platter it comes with. (Why yes, you are looking at oysters, arancini and pork belly)

Mains are next on the menu, and you and your guest have the choice of a dish each. Options include: crumbed lamb cutlets, quinoa, haloumi, black rice and roast veg salad, the surf n turf, barramundi fillet, or the beef, apple and beetroot burger.

I chose the salad and the surf n turf. WOULDYA LOOK AT THAT HALOUMI? #halaoumigoals #CRISPY

If your sparkling’s out of the picture (or even if it isn’t) you can also choose a drink each. I went with wine, but you could also have another glass of sparkling if that’s your thing, house beer, a soft drink or schooner.

And, as if you’re not salivating enough, you also get to choose two sides for the table as well. I went with the rocket, parmesan and pear salad and the smokey style mac n cheese, but onion rings, truffled mash, and peas, mint and feta are also available.

Last, but definitely not least, dessert.

There are three options, of which you can choose one each. We’re talking silky milk chocolate ganache with cointreau chantilly cream, eton mess with meringue, fresh berries and raspberry sorbet, and the salted caramel and popcorn panna cotta. I went with the latter two but saw the first option float by en route to another table and can confirm that it looks mighty fine also.

All the links for this fab feast are below for your clicking pleasure. Happy dining! x
