FIVE PLACES TO TRY IN PERTH THIS WEEKEND

September 12, 2016

I realise that five places in one weekend might be a bit ambitious, but hey, who doesn’t love a challenge?

The brunch scene is forever changing and growing in Perth (#exciting!). Here are some of my new and older faves.

1. Frisch & Barc – Como

Woohoo southside coming through with the brunch goods! The exterior of this place is awesome, it’ll definitely catch your eye as you cruise up Canning Highway towards Burswood.

The sweet corn and zucchini fritters with smoked salmon and a poached egg is my pick, but @breakfastinperth is always being tagged in French toast photos – so I’m guessing they’re a hit too!

2. Uptown – Cottesloe

I have never seen smashed avo like this before! A quirky addition to the Napoleon Street strip, Uptown is well worth a look. Although, if you do order the avo, I suggest you grab some extra bread on the side for all that avo.

3. Baguette Me Not – Subiaco

I discovered this lunch gem the other day while lunching with some colleagues in Subi. They do Franco-Vietnamese modern Asian street food. In layman’s terms, banh mi baguette sandwiches, sliders and salads.

4. Nood Cafe – Leederville

Healthy food never looked so good! I was fortunate enough to attend the opening of this little gem a couple of months back. Nood’s all about food that makes you feel good. They do yummy smoothie bowls, brekkie boxes, and nourish boxes that you can take away for later.

5. Sprolo – South Perth

Sprolo is another Canning Highway highlight. Their menu has an Asian twist to it, and provides something a little bit different from normal brunch fare. Special mention to their avo on corn bread – delicious!
