Serotonin Eatery, Exercise + Education in Burnley combines a nourishing eatery with an exercise centre. They’re all about a holistic approach to health, starting with food and continuing with exercise and promoting an interconnected community.
Positive pancakes: banana pancakes with banana nice-cream, berries, coconut yogurt, strawberries, roasted almonds and organic agave
Nutrient bomb: poached egg, broccoli, tomatoes, kale, house made hummus, roasted veggies, nuts and seeds and pickled sauerkraut
Galaxy acai bowl: acai ice cream topped with hazelnut, buckwheat +dried fruit granola, served with house made choc banana magnum. Drink: green bluice
You can find Waratah Organics at the base of the Dandenong Ranges in Upper Ferntree Gully. The café is dedicated to providing locally sourced, fresh, nutrient dense food and drinks. Everything is made on site, and the cafe offers raw, gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free and chemical free options. One of my favourite past times is to visit the nearby Kakoda Memorial Trail (aka 1,000 steps) and follow it up with their delicious smashed avo and a latte.

Avocado and vegan feta: smashed avocado on wholemeal sourdough toast with almond feta, sprouts and pepitas
Renowned for their healthy bowls, juices, smoothies and raw organic treats, Acai Brothers Croydon know how to make an acai bowl look and taste great. These guys are part of the Acai Brothers chain, and are big advocates for healthy living.
