These Phuket-based legends make the best damn banana smoothie bowls going around! And, they’ve shared two of their fave recipes with you below! Introducing NanaBowls x

Whether you like it smooth or crunchy, pre or post-workout, in the morning or late at night, NanaBowls have you covered. Our protein smoothie bowls are completely dairy and gluten free, with absolutely no added sugars (not even dates or honey), so even you super healthy yogis and fitsters can enjoy them! We’re all about the plant protein too; there’s over 25g of protein in each of these bowls. So we’re here to smash your nutrition!

We’ve shared two of our favourite NanaBowl recipes with you guys: Baileys and Peanut Butter + Jelly. They taste so good that it’s hard to believe they’re actually good for you. So give them a try and hit us up with your feedback (and maybe a sneaky NanaBowls selfie too!)

Baileys Protein Smoothie Bowl by NanaBowls

Is there really a better combo than coffee, chocolate and vanilla, all whipped up into one cold, refreshing, thick and creamy bowl?! Like seriously! This recipe speaks for itself. Give it a go when you’re in need of a sweet coffee fix… or just anytime of day to be honest!

Ingredients

2 frozen bananas (peel before freezing)

20g of plant protein powder (pea, brown rice or hemp are best)

1 tablespoon of coconut oil

1 teaspoon of raw cacao powder

1 teaspoon of organic ground coffee

1 teaspoon of vanilla powder

1 teaspoon of maca powder

3 tablespoons of plant-based mylk (almond/cashew/brown rice/coconut)

Method

Blend all the ingredients together using a top loading blender (not a NutriBullet) or food processor. Mix using your blender plunger until a thick, smooth and creamy consistency forms.

Pour into a bowl and top with your favourite toppings. We love a sprinkle of cacao nibs, bee pollen, crunchy almonds, raw pistachios and a drizzle of runny peanut butter!

Peanut Butter + Jelly Protein Smoothie Bowl by NanaBowls

We’ve made it our mission to revolutionise the classic PB + Jelly that we all love, and turn it into one healthy NanaBowl for you guys! Think sweet, salty, fresh and light all in one. This can be whipped up in seconds… and devoured even faster!

Ingredients

2 frozen bananas (peel before freezing)

20g plant protein powder (pea, brown rice or hemp are best)

1 tablespoon of coconut oil

2 tablespoons of peanut butter

70g frozen strawberries

Pinch of sea salt

Method

Blend all the ingredients together using a top loading blender (not a NutriBullet) or food processor (you won’t need to add any liquid). Mix using your blender plunger until a thick, smooth and creamy consistency forms.

Pour into a bowl and top with your favourite toppings – we love adding fresh strawberry slices, a spoon of homemade peanut butter, banana slices and crunchy roasted peanuts.
