The Margaret River region* of WA is synonymous with incredible wineries, with Aravina Estate being one of its most notable.
The 180 acre property is located on Thornton Road in Yallingup – a short drive from nearby Dunsborough, and a slightly longer cruise from Margaret River’s town centre.
In addition to its award-winning wine, the venue also boasts a sports car collection for visitors to peruse, and a fantastic gift store for take-home mementos.
It’s a popular venue for weddings, with its rose gardens creating a picture-perfect backdrop.
I recently visited to sample the restaurant offering and indulged in a delicious two-course meal comprising of spiced duck breast with blood orange reduction, rhubarb and red leaves for entree, and hand-cut pappardelle with broad beans, peas, zucchini, radichio and pecorino for main. My partner enjoyed the salt-baked white beetroot with a goats cheese mousse, macadamia and saltbush for entree, and the slow-cooked Suffolk lamb rump with bagna cauda, smoked capsicum and crisp potato for main. All served with complementary wines.
